At Leukerfun, we look after travellers staying in holiday rentals in Leukerbad. Protecting your personal data matters to us. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect, why, and what your rights are.

What data do we collect?

Via WhatsApp

When you contact us or we communicate with you on WhatsApp (in particular via Meta's Cloud API), we may process:

  • your phone number;
  • the associated WhatsApp profile name;
  • the content of the messages exchanged (text and, where applicable, images or files you send us).

Via bookings

When you make a booking (via the leukerfun.ch website, Superhote, Airbnb, Booking.com or another channel), we may collect:

  • your identity (first name, surname);
  • your contact details (email, phone, address if provided);
  • the dates and details of your stay;
  • your preferences for the stay (arrival, practical needs, special requests).

We only collect what is useful to welcome you and manage your stay.

What do we use this data for?

Your data is used solely to:

  • communicate with you: welcome, check-in / check-out, practical information, cleaning, after-stay support;
  • manage your bookings and follow up on your stay;
  • respond to your requests (questions, changes, emergencies on site).

We do not use your data for unsolicited marketing, and we do not sell it.

Who can access your data?

To provide our service, some data may be processed by technical service providers, always in accordance with our instructions:

The AI assistant may suggest replies or summaries to help us respond to you faster; all decisions and the final sending of messages remain under the control of Nicolas and Sandra.

Your data may also be visible on the platforms where you booked (Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.), in accordance with their own terms.

How long do we keep your data?

We keep your data for as long as necessary for our customer relationship and to meet our legal obligations.

As a guide:

  • messages (WhatsApp and emails relating to your stay): generally up to about 2 years after the end of your stay, unless a longer period is needed or required;
  • booking data: for as long as required to manage the stay, for accounting and to comply with applicable legal obligations.

After this period, the data is deleted or anonymised, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have in particular the right to:

  • access the data we hold about you;
  • request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request the deletion of your data, within the limits provided by law;
  • object to certain processing, where the law allows.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at contact@leukerfun.ch. We will reply as soon as possible.

How to request the deletion of your data

1. Send an email to contact@leukerfun.ch with the subject line "Delete my data".
2. Include your name, the phone number or email address you used to contact us or book, and, if possible, the dates of your stay.
3. We will verify your identity if necessary, then delete or anonymise your data, provided no legal obligation requires us to keep it.

Once deleted, we may no longer be able to keep the history of our conversations or certain details of a past stay.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. Messages sent via WhatsApp pass through Meta's infrastructure; the website and booking tools rely on the security measures of our service providers.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The date at the top of the page shows the version currently in force. If there is a significant change, we will make reasonable efforts to inform you appropriately.
